DMCA / Copyright Policy
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 14 May 2026
Lange Software Solutions ("we", "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects
users of our services to do the same. This policy explains how to report copyright infringement under
the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, how to respond to a notice about your
own content, and our policy on repeat infringers.
1. Reporting copyright infringement (takedown notice)
If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act on behalf of one, and you believe material accessible
through our services infringes your copyright, you may send a written notice to our Designated Agent
below. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all six of
the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act on their
behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a
representative list).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, with
enough detail (such as a URL) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the
copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you
are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
On receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material expeditiously and make a
reasonable effort to notify the user who provided it.
2. Designated agent
Send DMCA notices and counter-notices to our Designated Agent:
DMCA Designated Agent
Hubert Lange
Lange Software Solutions, Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
Email:
hubert@langesoftware.com
Subject line: "DMCA Notice" or "DMCA Counter-Notice"
Our Designated Agent is registered with the US Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory.
Lange Software Solutions is listed as a registered alternate name under this designation (registration
active from 14 May 2026). The full registered contact details are available in the public
Copyright Office Designated Agent Directory.
3. Counter-notice procedure
If your material was removed and you believe it was removed in error or misidentified, you may send a
counter-notice to our Designated Agent. To be effective, a counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as
a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the
US federal district court for the district where you are located (or, if outside the US, any district
in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the
original notice or their agent.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days, unless the
original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
4. Repeat-infringer policy
It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to disable and/or terminate the accounts or access of
users who are found to be repeat infringers. We assess this case by case and may also remove infringing
material and terminate access for a single egregious infringement.
5. Warning about misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing,
or that material was removed or disabled by mistake, may be liable for damages — including costs and
legal fees. Please be sure of your rights before filing a notice or counter-notice. If you are unsure,
seek legal advice first.
